CAL InspectorTechnician JLR

Essential Duties:

• Perform comprehensive interior inspections for fit finish trim electrical components and accessory functionality.
• Conduct exterior inspections for body damage paint defects alignment issues and overall condition.
• Verify proper installation and operation of lights accessories and visible mechanical components.
• Inspect exterior paintwork for defects damage or irregularities in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Accurately complete CAL check sheets inspection reports and required documentation in an efficient and thorough manner.
• Document and clearly communicate findings including severity of damage or defects.
• Coordinate directly with manufacturer representatives as required to review findings and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work collaboratively with operations and detailing teams to report and track issues identified during inspection.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: MondayFriday 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. with possible overtime and/or weekend work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid US Drivers License
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
• Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior vehicle inspection quality control or automotive industry experience.
• General knowledge of automobile components and basic vehicle systems.
• Ability to make sound judgment calls regarding severity and classification of defects.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise documentation and feedback.

Physical Working Attributes:

• Work in confined spaces
• Work at heights of approximately 15 feet.
• Lift push and or pull up to 20lbs
• Extended periods of standing kneeling and bending
• Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat cold rain insects and other conditions which may exist from time to time.
