Job Summary

The successful candidate for this position will be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and be responsible for the following:

1. General: This is a service(s) contract to provide Music Director service for the Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae (CFAC) Chapel.

1.1. Period of Performance:

The Period of Performance (POP) shall be for one (1) base year of 12-month and four (4) 12-month option years. The POP will be up to five (5) years at the discretion of the chapel.

1.2. Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at the CFAC Chapel Building 771 1 Hyeon-Dong Chinhae-Gu Changwon-Si Gyeongsangnam-Do South Korea 51698

1.3. Hours of Operations: The Music director shall arrive not later than 15 minutes prior to the announced start time of the specified service to be performed and will not leave before the end of Mass and Worship of that service. CFAC Chapel Catholic Mass is 0930-1030 and Protestant Worship service1100-1200 on Sunday mornings and afternoons. Major holidays Service are ASH Wednesday Holy Thursday Good Friday Assumption Christmas New Year and When the Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar for Europe and Asia visits CFAC the music director will coordinate with the CFAC RMT when to offer services.

SPECIFIC TASKS

2. Specific Skills Sets Required

The music director will provide Music services (Select song and Accompaniment) as a Music Director for the CFAC chapel communities. Services will be provided on each Sunday Catholic Mass Protestant worship service and special events.

The music director shall provide the following services:

2.1. Description of Services: The Music director shall select song play piano and provide instrumentation/ start song vocal for worship services for Sunday Catholic Mass Protestant worship service and Special events. The Music director personnel shall perform the specific tasks in accordance with this Statement of Work under the supervision of the CFAC Chaplain and guidance of the Catholic service and Protestant service Sub-account representatives.

2.2. Services: The Music director shall provide religious music support on Sunday and Special events. The Sunday services (Catholic and Protestant: (Two (2) services every Sunday) and the additional special seasonal services dependent upon the worship calendar (up to nine (9) yearly and/or the schedule established by the CFAC Chapel Chaplain. Services held at other outdoor venues on regular worship Sundays are not special services/events and the music director shall provide services at that location.

2.3. The Music director shall notify the Command Chaplain at least ten working days in advance of any planned the event of illness/emergency leave etc. the music director shall notify the Command Chaplain as soon as the situation becomes known. Regardless of the cause all uncovered absences are not compensated.

2.4. Specific Skill: The Music director shall demonstrate knowledge and ability to select songs for service with an emphasis on the respective worship music including music for holiday services. Proficient pianist that can provide music for worship and required to start worship songs with singing ability to sing is helpful but not required. Be able to function comfortably in a religiously diverse environment where people of other denominations and religious share the use of military chapels and worship spaces.

This is a part-time position with compensation based on budget and the successful candidates experience and qualifications.
