Scout Motors Internship Program
We will provide aspiring professionals with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our talented inclusive and entrepreneurial teams. Undergraduate Interns will immerse themselves in therugged SUVs and truckslandscape gaining exposure to the latest trends technologies and market dynamics. Interns will be assigned meaningful projects aligned with Scouts goals. These projects will challenge interns to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios fostering problem-solving skills and creativity while working under the mentorship of our leaders.
This program is designed for current undergraduate students who live in our local market. Please note that no housing stipend is provided.
2026Internship Program Overview
- Schedule: The program isanticipatedto run mid-May to mid-August 2026
- Duration: Our internship program runs approximately 12 weeks with the official end date varying dependent upon student needs and thestart of respective Fall academic calendars
- Transportation Housing: our Interns will be responsible for providing their own housing and transportation

About the team
This internship provides hands-on exposure toSoftware Engineeringwithin an infotainment and connectivity development environment. You will support software development engineering activities AI Modeling and contribute to predictive analytics for Mule Vehicle Program.
We are seeking an intern to support two applied data science initiatives focused on AI Modeling and predictive analytics for mule vehicle testing operations.
Daily Responsibilities of the Internship Program include
- Develop machine learning and NLP-based methods to structure and analyze Jira issue tracking data (ticket classification prioritization trend analysis)
- Build document intelligence capabilities for SharePoint repositories including metadata enrichment semantic retrieval and knowledge indexing
- Utilize Jira REST APIs and Microsoft Graph APIs to enable automated data ingestion and feature extraction
- Support workflow transparency and engineering collaboration through analytics-driven insights
- Support data collection and integration pipelines across mule vehicle test fleets and engineering systems
- Develop predictive models for vehicle health monitoring early fault detection and test readiness forecasting
- Apply time-series modeling and anomaly detection techniques to telemetry and diagnostic datasets (e.g. CAN signals ECU logs DTC events)
- Contribute to predictive maintenance approaches byidentifyingleading indicators ofcomponentor system degradation
- Produce operational dashboards and reliability metrics to support engineering decision-making and program execution
