Reporting to the Director of the Counseling Center this position provides individual and group counseling crisis intervention and workshops/outreach/consultation for students faculty and staff. Responsibilities for this Psychologist/Campus Mental Health Specialist position include providing individual and group counseling campus crisis intervention and workshops/outreach/consultation for students faculty and staff; administrative and other duties as assigned; serve on unit and university committees as appointed and assigned. This position will also coordinate and lead teams as needed for campus-based projects. Issues addressed in counseling may include depression anxiety substance abuse adjustment disorders personality disorders; Excellent communication skills and computer literacy. This position should have interest and expertise in working with diverse populations and providing clinical supervision as needed. We seek a well-trained Psychologist/Campus Mental Health Specialist who has demonstrated training and employment experience in providing psychological assessment diagnosis and mental health treatment as well as providing time-limited individual and group therapy on-call crisis intervention supervision and specialized skills or strong interest in one or more of the following areas: multicultural issues; LGBTQ health; post-traumatic stress (including sexual abuse sexual assault); substance abuse; eating disorders. We are looking for an individual who in addition to providing direct clinical service is enthusiastically committed to presenting psychological perspectives in programs training and settings throughout the college community. The appropriate candidate will provide consultation and facilitate support for various campus-based partners and work collaboratively with Counseling Center team to strengthen and grow services and programs. This position is responsible for and not limited to the following. Provides supervision to staff including embedded counselors student workers and support staff. Proactively offer psychoeducational opportunities for students as a complementary support to services offered at the Counseling Center. Provide support group opportunities for students with a focus on salient themes that apply to students in specific spaces (e.g. academic departments dormitories student organizations etc). Coordinates and leads teams efforts to support after-hour/on-call crisis response as needed Develops and maintains strong relationships with campus partners and seeks to enhance community knowledge through outreach training and education for students faculty and staff which may require flexibility to accommodate for off-hours events.
