Junior Graphic Designer

Join our growing team at Ace Beverage Group and kickstart your design career as our Junior Graphic Designer. Were seeking a design-minded individual to assist with creating visual assets for our marketing and sales teams. This brand new position is ideal for someone wanting to gain experience at a fast-growing company within our in-house studios team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily Design Proficiency
  • Develop visually engaging design materials tailored for the sales team including sell sheets posters email marketing visuals and event assets. Ensure that the designs align with the brand guidelines and effectively communicate key messages to the target audience.
  • Provide support on packaging designs contributing from initial design concepts to executing technical tasks related to dielines. Collaborate closely with the team to ensure packaging designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Design impactful presentations that effectively convey information and captivate the audience.
  • Craft moodboards that visually articulate design concepts guiding the team in achieving cohesive and impactful visual narratives.
  • Assist in on-set activities for photoshoots and content creation aiding in both setup and takedown to ensure a smooth and cohesive visual execution.
  • Tackle various design tasks as needed showcasing versatility and adaptability in responding to different creative challenges.

  • Adaptation Optimization and Research:
  • Collaborate with the team to access and modify pre-existing graphic files according to project requirements.
  • Adapt and optimize design elements for various platforms ensuring they meet the specific requirements for web social media and print materials.
  • Collaborate with non-designer teams in various departments visually translating their ideas and concepts into cohesive and compelling designs
  • Conduct consumer discovery activities to gain insights and ensure designs resonate with the target audience creating visually compelling materials that meet both aesthetic and market demands.
  • Conduct shelf testing to ensure the effectiveness of product designs in real-world retail environments optimizing visual appeal and consumer engagement.


  • Team Collaboration and Support
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative design team environment assisting in a wide range of design projects to meet business objectives.
  • Partake in weekly critiques and/or brainstorming sessions
  • Partake in monthly marketing initiatives to gain valuable insights on consumers. Initiatives include LCBO sampling hosting happy hours across the GTA and assisting with events. This may include night and weekend work.
  • Assist the design team with production and organizational tasks that enhance team efficiency and support the overall creative workflow.

  • Logistics and Organization:
  • Drive to various locations to pick up and deliver materials as needed for projects.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of acquired materials and props.
  • Collaborate with the design team to construct physical mockups and prototypes.
  • Assist in organizing both physical and digital assets contributing to a streamlined and efficient workflow for the design team.


Experience and Education
  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelors degree or diploma in graphic design or a related field or equivalent practical experience accompanied by a compelling portfolio showcasing proficiency in design software and creative problem-solving.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in graphic design

Job Requirements and Competencies
  • Design Related
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of design principles typography and color theory.
  • Basic knowledge of print and digital design processes.
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools and an interest in exploring how they can support and enhance the creative process.
  • Candidates should demonstrate a proactive approach to professional growth with a willingness to learn new design software and a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends to ensure the continuous evolution of their design skills.
  • Other:
  • A team player! Open to collaborative work and ability to take feedback positively.
  • 4 days in office is mandatory (9AM to 5PM / 1 day WFH)
  • Preferred: G Drivers License
  • Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to pivot swiftly adapting to evolving project needs and contributing to a dynamic and responsive design environment
