Job Title: Technical Benchmarking Analyst
Location: Valladolid Spain
Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Benchmarking Analyst to support market analysis and competitive benchmarking activities with a particular focus on powertrain systems and technologies.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Conduct market analysis focusing on powertrain architectures technologies and industry trends;
- Collect structure and analyze technical and market information related to powertrain systems and components;
- Perform competitive and technical benchmarking of components systems and engineering solutions;
- Analyze technical data specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs);
- Collect and review engineering drawings and technical documentation;
- Use CATIA to review and analyze 3D models and technical drawings;
- Identify technical differences design choices and architecture alternatives;
- Evaluate trade-offs between performance cost manufacturability and industrial feasibility;
- Identify gaps risks and opportunities for technical improvement;
- Prepare technical benchmarking reports and structured analysis;
- Support engineering teams in early-stage decision-making and product strategy.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Engineering background (Mechanical Automotive or similar);
- Knowledge of automotive systems particularly powertrain technologies;
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation;
- Experience or familiarity with CATIA for reviewing and analyzing CAD models;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools;
- Ability to collect structure and analyze technical data;
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and technical teams;
- Fluency in English;
- Clear and effective communication and reporting skills.
