About the role:

The Associate Director of Business Communications is responsible for helping develop and execute market-level communications plans in partnership with our Market Leaders Market Directors and other partners across Oscar.

You will report into the Senior Director Business Communications.

Work Location: This position is based in our Tempe AZ office requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $134136 - $176053per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive market-level strategies that align to Oscars strategic growth plan and the Market Leaders growth priorities.
  • Assist with the development of executive thought leadership platforms including presentation event networking written and social media opportunities to show the innovative perspectives of our Oscar Insurance and Market Leaders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the market to position Oscar for speaking sponsorships and other awareness-driving opportunities.
  • Partner with the Oscar media team to develop market-level communications strategies across earned and owned media.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing public relations investor relations government affairs and executive leadership to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of market-level communications.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of in-market communications strategies by tracking key engagement metrics and KPIs in partnership with the Media team.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Public Relations Journalism or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in communications public relations or corporate communications with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects at once and working in a deadline sensitive environment for executives.

Bonus points:

  • Agency in-house healthcare with an understanding of payor provider patient and B2B services marketplace dynamics (or other regulated industry) public affairs or state/local policy experience is a plus.
  • Public company experience preferred
