About the role:

The Associate Director of Business Communications is responsible for helping develop and execute market-level communications plans in partnership with our Market Leaders Market Directors and other partners across Oscar.

You will report into the Senior Director Business Communications.

Work Location: This position is based in our Tempe AZ office requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $134136 - $176053per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits participation in Oscars unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive market-level strategies that align to Oscars strategic growth plan and the Market Leaders growth priorities.
Assist with the development of executive thought leadership platforms including presentation event networking written and social media opportunities to show the innovative perspectives of our Oscar Insurance and Market Leaders.
Build and maintain relationships with key organizations in the market to position Oscar for speaking sponsorships and other awareness-driving opportunities.
Partner with the Oscar media team to develop market-level communications strategies across earned and owned media.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing public relations investor relations government affairs and executive leadership to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment of market-level communications.
Evaluate the efficacy of in-market communications strategies by tracking key engagement metrics and KPIs in partnership with the Media team.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Public Relations Journalism or a related field.

7 years of experience in communications public relations or corporate communications with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
Experience managing multiple complex projects at once and working in a deadline sensitive environment for executives.

Bonus points:

Agency in-house healthcare with an understanding of payor provider patient and B2B services marketplace dynamics (or other regulated industry) public affairs or state/local policy experience is a plus.
Public company experience preferred
