Job Summary
Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg / Telemetry
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (19:00 07:30)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location -Simpsonville SC
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a dynamic patient care team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring and experience caring for orthopedic and bariatric patient populations in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients.
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using the electronic medical record system.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
Float to other units or affiliated facilities as needed within competency.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience.
Active RN license in the state of South Carolina.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience.
Preferred Experience
Experience with orthopedic and bariatric patient populations.
Experience using Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
First-time travelers may be considered with at least 3 years of specialty experience.
