Knowledge Sharing Systems Owner (KSSO) Surface Team 1 (ST1) Support Invictus Associates LLC Onsite Norfolk VA Position Overview The Knowledge Sharing Systems Owner (KSSO) works directly with the Knowledge Management Systems Owner (KMSO) and the ST1 Assistant Program Manager (APM) to plan and execute all aspects of the Surface Team 1 Knowledge Management process. This role serves as the operational hub for the ST1 Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) ensuring knowledge tools are effective documentation is current and lessons learned are captured and disseminated across the enterprise. Key Responsibilities Knowledge Management Execution - Work directly with the KMSO and ST1 Assistant Program Manager in the planning and execution of all aspects of the ST1 Knowledge Management process.
- Coordinate Knowledge Management Support Staff (KMSS) facilitation in support of KM planning and execution.
- Manage update and execute ST1 KM tools and systems.
- Oversee the design procurement implementation and improvement of new or existing KM tools.
- Ensure all KM documentation guides manuals and references remain current and accurate.
Governance & Proven Practices - Approve or reject submitted Proven Practices.
- For approved practices assign Gatekeepers to review and provide final approval or rejection.
- Serve as the central coordination point for lessons learned and best practices within ST1.
- Act as the project team hub for the Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN).
- Gather curate and disseminate lessons learned and best practices through the ST1 Knowledge Market.
Enterprise Coordination - Assist the ST1 APM in organizing and executing ST1 community-wide meetings and conferences.
- Interact with ST1 leadership and supporting infrastructure to enable effective assessments and coordination of ST1 activities.
- Support cross-functional collaboration to strengthen enterprise-wide knowledge integration.
Required Skills & Capabilities - Works effectively with colleagues from different departments groups and functions to achieve common goals.
- Creative self-motivated and solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong appreciation of customer needs at both operational and strategic levels.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with limited supervision.
- Knowledgeable of project team structures roles and responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills (electronic and paper systems).
- Excellent communication skills (face-to-face phone and written).
Required Knowledge & Experience - Familiarity with surface Navy depot-level maintenance and modernization environments.
- Knowledge of SharePoint environments and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Experience managing structured knowledge systems documentation libraries or process governance tools.
- Understanding of structured review processes workflow management and documentation control.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting Navy DoD or federal programs.
- Prior experience supporting Surface Team One or Regional Maintenance Centers.
- Familiarity with knowledge markets lessons-learned databases or community-of-practice facilitation.
- Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
