Job Summary
We areseeking an enthusiastic customer focuseddriver who can operate a Class A truckthroughout the yard and assist in the role offers a high degree of autonomy stable hours access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and supply above and beyond the standard PPE for safe handling of medical waste and take training of our staff seriously find out more about how we protect you at will your job involve
- Move trailers and other equipment around the yard using a yard truck
- Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
- Perform daily safety checks on yard truck and report any issues to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of trailers
- Maintain a clean and organized yard
- Communicate with other yard personnel and management to ensure efficient operations
- Operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
- Heavy lifting!!
What are we looking for
- Class A license with a clean driving record AND valid medical card
- Willingness to work full time hours approx. 40 hours a week
- Six months of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks
- Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- A flexible can-do attitude
- Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
- Experience with DOT compliance logging hours roadside inspections
- Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
- Proven longevity in past employment
