Job Summary
HSE Supervisor / HSE Inspector
Romania
Freelancer / Contract-based
HSE Supervisor / Inspector supporting large-scale renewable energy projects (Wind Solar and BESS)
Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements by supervising site activities promoting safe work practices and supporting contractors in implementing effective Health Safety & Environmental management systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and supervise daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements;
- Enforce safe work practices and stop unsafe acts or conditions when necessary;
- Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS);
- Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work LOTO working at height lifting and electrical safety procedures;
- Conduct site inspections audits and toolbox talks;
- Support contractors in closing HSE non-conformities and implementing corrective actions;
- Report and investigate incidents near misses and unsafe conditions;
- Act as the primary HSE point of contact between the client contractors and project management team.
Qualifications :
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as HSE Supervisor / HSE Inspector on Wind Solar PV and/or BESS projects;
- Minimum 35 years of on-site HSE experience in construction or industrial environments;
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation ISO 45001 ISO 14001 and client-specific HSE standards;
- Experience with permit-to-work systems risk assessments method statements (RAMS) and toolbox talks;
- Ability to conduct HSE inspections audits and incident investigations;
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence contractors and site teams;
- Fluency in both Romanian and English is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage;
- Relevant HSE certifications such as GWO / NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent are mandatory.
