Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrolman in Columbus OH you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a high-visibility cultural location where you will monitor and patrol walkways gathering areas and nearby facilities. You will conduct routine patrols stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents assist guests with directions and questions and communicate concerns promptly to the team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to guests staff and/or vendors at a public cultural location by following Allied Universal protocols site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents guest concerns and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of outdoor grounds walkways common areas and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance hazards and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points public gathering areas and special event activity providing directions assisting with crowd flow and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete reports logs and shift notes and communicate clearly with supervisors local partners and/or site representatives to support consistent security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
