Biomarker lead Senior Manager/Associate Director
Location: Shanghai Beijing
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to drive clinical biomarker strategy and provide scientific expertise on biomarker research/disease mechanism to support internal and external collaboration clinical development programs across therapeutic areas in China.
Key responsibilities:
He/She will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to systematically develop and implement biomarker strategy in clinical development programs in China.
Provide scientific and/or technical input to China innovative collaboration center (MCICC) asset development teams on biomarker-related elements of study trial design and conduct incorporating biomarkers into clinical protocols.
Liaises with China clinical research team China clinical pharmacology team China Biomarker Operation lead China biomarker technical experts and external partners to ensure alignment and efficient implementation of key deliverables for biomarker.
Work closely with China Biostatistics and Research Decision Sciences (BARDS) team and/or China Bioinformatics team in analyzing interpreting and presenting results from biomarker analyses.
Represents biomarker related aspects internally with China/global teams and externally in meetings with authorities and external key opinion leaders.
Builds and maintain network with academic institutions and/or industry in biomarker area in China.
Qualifications
Required:
Ph.D. in biology pharmacology or a related life science field with 5 years of pharmaceutical/preclinical research experience.
Track record of biomarker strategy development and implementation in FIH Ph1/2 studies.
Broad knowledge of technical platforms that include IHC immunoassay PCR and NGS.
Understanding of drug discovery & development
Proficient in gaining emerging knowledge for various TAs/assets and agile in working in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
Experience with a matrix environment and ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues from a wide range of disciplines.
Preferred:
Experience in early clinical research including oncology or immunology.
Deep understanding of biomarker science and clinical application.
Record of publishing in high profile scientific journals.
Understanding of clinical biomarker operations and experience with HGRAC application is valued.
