Job Summary

Job Description

  • Lead the planning and implementation of software/application development projects within the insurance sector ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Define project scope objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop detailed project plans including resource allocation timelines and budgets and monitor progress against these plans.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings providing status updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers QA testers and business analysts to ensure successful project execution and integration of solutions.
  • Implement and manage project change requests in a systematic way to minimize disruption and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress manage risks and ensure accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations particularly those specific to the insurance sector.
  • Conduct project post-mortems to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement applying insights to future projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure project success.

  • Bachelors degree in Project Management Business Administration Computer Science or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP Agile Scrum) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the insurance industry with a focus on software/application development projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile Waterfall etc.) and project management tools (e.g. JIRA Microsoft Project Trello).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing projects related to insurance products underwriting processes claims management or regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends regulations and best practices is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other project management software.
