As a Security Officer - Front Entry Screener in Boston MA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Screen visitors employees and deliveries at points of entry using walk-through metal detectors hand wands and/or X-ray equipment as applicable and verify identification and authorization for entry.
- Control access by issuing visitor credentials maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs directing visitors to appropriate destinations and managing lobby and screening queue flow.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and promptly notify site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
- Complete required reports and logs related to screening activity prohibited items and incidents and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
