ING is looking for the Chapter Lead - FR Capital Analyses which is part of the Financial Risk Frameworks and Control Tribe - responsible for FR Oversight topics including FR Capital & Analyses Policies & Regulations Integrated Process Control and FR Strategy and Change initiatives to ensure alignment with INGs overall Risk vision and ambitions
Impact: Directly influences Financial Risk and Oversight topics - thereby impacting INGs key capital metrics and also FR risk framework execution such FR RAS.
The Financial Risk Capital & Analysis Chapter sits within the Global Financial Risk Framework & Controls Tribe in the new Financial Risk (FR) organization (previously part of the Balance Sheet Risk Tribe). The Chapter leads key elements of INGs global integrated Financial Risk Capital & Oversight agenda structured around three core pillars:
(1) Financial Risk Oversight (FR-O) (2) Market Risk Economic Capital (MREC) (3) Financial Risk Regulatory Capital (FR RC).
Team Description
Domain / Department: Capital & Analyses (ING / CRO / Financial Risk)
Team Focus:
The team provides integrated Financial Risk oversight executes the FR Framework and drives global Financial Risk capital management by steering MREC and FR regulatory capital topics across ING ensuring strong 2ndline challenge and alignment with INGs strategy.
Main Responsibilities
FR-O : Lead the integrated Group Financial Risk management cycle covering risk identification assessment and very importantly the FR RAS.
Provide strong oversight and Committeelevel challenge on key Financial Risk topics.
The Chapter also acts as the CARC Secretariat responsible for reviewing and challenging risk assessments and the CARC dashboards.
MREC : Provide global leadership of the MREC frameworkowning the RAS setting aligning MREC with INGs business strategy streamlining the framework and model landscape as the model owner and delivering highquality 2ndline risk insights.
FR RC : Lead Financial Risk Regulatory Capital oversight globally owning the FR Capital RAS assessing capital impacts for business proposals and acting as model owner for Group MRWA and Equity RWA.
Build lead and develop a 9 FTE team across FR Oversight and Capital areas.
Foster talent and culture ensuring a strong pipeline and a positive highperforming team environment.
Serve as an active member of the FR Extended Leadership Team and FR Framework MT.
Required Knowledge & Experience
Education: Masters degree; postgraduate specialization strongly preferred.
Experience: 10 years in senior Financial Risk roles ideally spanning banking capital treasury and complex modeldriven environments.
Expertise:
Deep knowledge of banking products capital implications and endtoend Financial Risk Management frameworks.
Strong understanding of complex risk and capital models with the ability to translate and simplify technical concepts for senior stakeholders.
Sharp insight into INGs strategy commercial priorities and broader market dynamics.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to influence at senior levels.
Proven leadership of teams and departments with a track record of building capability shaping mindsets and developing talent.
Qualities
Strategic and forwardlooking able to translate complex risk and capital topics into clear direction.
Collaborative and influential effective in crossfunctional and global stakeholder engagement.
