If you are an Engineering graduate looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee MN location as a Firmware Test Engineer you will design and implement software test systems to verify and validate world-class safety-critical measurement & analytical instrumentation that integrates with industrial automation equipment.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Working with a team to design and implement automated tests and test infrastructure
Participating in reviews of product requirements test designs and implementations
Working with cross-functional teams to help solve engineering challenges
Providing analysis for change requests considering the impact to product testing and schedule
Providing technical support for test stations

Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science
Minimum of zero (0) years of relevant experience
Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or Software Engineering
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience with related technologies and techniques (Microsoft Visual Studio C# .NET application development object-oriented design principles requirements-based and gray box testing)
Interest and experience working with test systems

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $80000annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
