Following its establishment in 2012 Plzeň has grown into our fastest-growing Engineering Development Center in Europe. The center focuses on the design and development of Lear products including complex seating mechanisms and structures foams coatings plastics and trim components. The vision for Plzen is not to work as an internal supplier for our European business units but to develop into a leading Design and Development Center working on projects for all major European OEM customer groups from concept phase through to delivery.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop quality strategy rules and processes within the Plzeň Technical Center.
- Ensure full compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific (OEM) requirements.
- Manage the quality area for prototype and preseries phases of automotive seating systems.
- Lead mentor and develop a small quality team (approx. 25 employees).
- Handle customer complaints including 8D root cause analysis corrective & preventive actions.
- Manage supplier complaints and topics within incoming inspection.
- Establish implement and maintain internal quality processes and documentation.
- Cooperate closely with development testing APQP and prototype workshop teams.
- Participate in prototype build events reviews and project milestones.
- Define acceptance criteria for prototype builds and oversee quality gates.
- Support risk analyses (DFMEA / PFMEA) control plans and prototype control strategy.
- Coordinate measurement results dimensional reports and quality validation activities.
- Prepare regular quality reports for internal management and customers.
Your Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in automotive quality.
- Strong understanding of quality tools (8D FMEA Control Plan Ishikawa 5 Why 5S).
- Ability to read and work with technical drawings.
- Good understanding of measurement techniques.
- English language skills at B2C1 level.
- Strong PC skills (Excel PowerPoint MS Teams Outlook).
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
- Strong communication skills (internal & external) customer orientation and structured problemsolving mindset.
- Ability to build crossfunctional cooperation and manage priorities.
Advantageous:
- Experience in team leadership (team leader / supervisor roles).
- Technical degree (high school or university).
- German language skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping welding sewing foaming injection molding).
- Experience with automotive seating systems or related components.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience in prototype workshop environments.
- Positive proactive mindset and continuousimprovement attitude.
