Senior IT PM Quality Lab in Pharma

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead quality laboratory initiatives within our pharmaceutical organisation based in Basel Switzerland. This is a pivotal role that combines IT expertise with deep pharmaceutical quality knowledge overseeing the delivery of critical IT projects that support our Quality Lab operations. The successful candidate will drive strategic IT initiatives whilst ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in this highly regulated environment.

• Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects for Quality Lab systems ensuring delivery on time within budget and to the required quality standards
• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans including scope definition resource allocation risk assessment and stakeholder communication strategies
• Oversee the validation and implementation of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and other quality-critical IT infrastructure
• Ensure all IT systems and projects comply with GxP regulations FDA and EMA requirements and organisational quality policies
• Manage cross-functional teams including IT specialists quality personnel and external vendors whilst conducting thorough risk and impact analyses for all IT changes
• Maintain detailed project documentation including change logs audit trails and compliance records and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to data integrity and system validation requirements
• Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders identifying opportunities for process improvements

Qualifications :

**Required Qualifications:**

• Minimum 5 years experience in IT Project Management with at least 4 years in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry
• Proven expertise in managing quality-critical IT systems and laboratory infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of GxP guidelines GAMP 5 principles and pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks (FDA EMA)
• Demonstrated experience with LIMS implementation and validation
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
• Excellent people skills with proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Comprehensive understanding of IT governance risk management and change control processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages desirable

**Desirable Qualifications:**

• PRINCE2 or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with data integrity and system validation in regulated environments
• Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies
• Familiarity with IT security and compliance frameworks
• Experience with IT infrastructure modernisation projects
• Understanding of laboratory operations and quality assurance processes
