Commercial Account Executive (SMB / Mid-Market)

Location: Phoenix Arizona (Hybrid) or Toronto Canada
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: $175000 $210000 Base OTE: $250000 $300000 (70/30 split)

Overview
A fast-growing SaaS company is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth within the SMB and mid-market segments.

In this role you will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and territory planning to closing deals while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that address customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy focused on pipeline generation and new business opportunities

  • Identify and research target accounts while building relationships with key decision-makers

  • Deliver compelling virtual and in-person product presentations that communicate the value of the SaaS platform

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and close

  • Collaborate with Marketing Sales Development and Product teams to support deal execution

  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends customer challenges and competitive positioning

  • Ensure a strong customer experience throughout the sales journey

Requirements

  • 35 years of quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales experience as an Account Executive

  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in new business environments

  • Experience managing sales cycles of 60120 days

  • Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills

  • Ability to engage IT stakeholders and senior business leaders

  • Experience with sales tools such as Salesforce Salesloft Gong ZoomInfo or similar platforms

  • Experience selling into IT departments or ITSM / enterprise SaaS environments is highly preferred

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
