The Enterprise Risk and Compliance team sits within the 2nd Line Risk division with accountability for all Risk and Compliance activity across ASX. The Risk and Compliance Advisory team operates as a secondline function responsible for the design and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks (ERMF) and Policies (including Compliance) Risk Culture Policy Governance Risk Capability and Accountability Frameworks to Industry and regulatory best practice standards with particular emphasis reflecting ASXs role as a steward of Critical Market Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

Role specific

  • Provide strategic support advice and management for the ER&C Team and General Manager.
  • Drive the delivery of our strategic initiatives planning and execution of the combined ER&C teams workplan. Including tracking progress towards objectives and celebrating achieved outcomes.
  • Working with a high level of autonomy to progress strategic and operational initiatives for ER&C resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes
  • Fostering engagement and managing relationships across the ER&C Heads of as key stakeholders
  • Asset Management design and maintenance of our enabling capabilities such as IT (GRC etc) Data Sharepoint websites Business Continuity Plans functional collateral controls team processes etc. Own and manage and deliver the GRC business requirements.
  • Design deliver & maintain the ERMF data dashboards to produce insights and reporting for the key users across Line 1 and Line 2.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert about ER&C handling inquiries developing action plans and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of GM communications and administration support.
  • Develop and build on relationships with all ER&C for increased efficiency and responsiveness of operations and help define new operational strategies by working with ER&C and other leaders on special projects
  • Work closely with the Line 1 Risk and Compliance Representative for the Risk Division on any owned Issues Incidents and controls.

Your experience and qualifications

Must have

  • 7 years experience in providing strategic support advice and relationship management to senior leaders
  • Ability to oversee review and report on business functions or portfolios ensuring continuous improvement and operational efficiency
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a track record of managing complex or sensitive issues across diverse teams
  • Risk Management Expertise: Ability to oversee risk management approaches ensuring identification mitigation and appropriate reporting of risks
  • Demonstrated success in fostering collaboration among teams especially in cross-functional environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clarify outcomes communicate progress and celebrate achievements
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy to progress strategic and operational initiatives resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Experience of people management and able to address resourcing and employee relations issues.

Nice to have

  • Experience in highly regulated environments
  • Skills in data analysis reporting or using business intelligence tools to inform strategic decisions
  • Experience with Risk Management Frameworks familiar with established risk management and risk appetite alignment.
