Job Summary
Avionics Technician
Primary Purpose of the position
The AvionicsTechnician performs harness builds terminations installations inspection testing troubleshooting repairing removal and replacement ofaircraftinstrument and avionics components and systems using all tools and test equipment to meet manufacturers specifications FARs industry standards in a safe and organized work area.
Essential Functions:
Perform inspections testing troubleshooting repairs of avionics and electrical systems.
Perform removal andreplacementofaircraftinstruments avionics components and electrical systems using tools and test equipment to meet manufacturers specifications Federal Aviation Regulations and industry standards.
Perform wire harness builds and terminations.
Ensure consistentaccurateaircraftmaintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms computer entries and logbook entries.
Follow all company policiesproceduresand Federal Aviation Regulations.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Perform job duties in a safe manner.
Punctual to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED plus relevant certificationsrequiredat the minimum.
Experience working under a FAR 145 repairmens certificate or similar experience.
Minimum of 2 years of General Aviation and/orcorporateaircraftmaintenance experience.
Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations andmanufacturingmanuals.
Possess adequate tools.
Valid drivers license witha gooddrivingrecord.
Eligible to obtainan airportsecurity badge.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Active and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) MechanicsLicensestronglypreferred.
ExperienceonKing Air Cessna Citation Dassault Falcon Embraer Phenom Embraer Praetor Gulfstream Bell Helicopter Airbus Helicopter Hawkerand King Airaircraftstronglypreferred.
FCC GROL and Ship Radarlicensestrongly preferred.
Garmin experiencestronglypreferred.
Avidyneexperienceis stronglypreferred.

Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Travel: Thisposition may require minimal travel.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform frequent walking sitting stooping stretching bending reaching and grasping actions. May berequiredto work nights and weekends. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
