Job Summary

As an Avionics Technician (Manufacturing) at Impulse youll be responsible for the precision assembly inspection and documentation of high-reliability avionics assemblies used in low-earth orbit and beyond. Your work will directly impact the reliability and mission success of our Mira and Helios spacecraft. This role is designed for individuals seeking hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing while developing technical skills process discipline and an understanding of quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities


  • Perform electromechanical assembly work. Perform precision fitting torquing sealing and alignment of components.
  • Clean prep and handle parts in accordance with aerospace cleanliness standards.
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings wiring diagrams schematics and work instructions.
  • Identify document and communicate non-conformances or build issues.
  • Work with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly rate and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance on issue resolution process improvements and documentation updates.
  • Record build data and ensure traceability of parts and workmanship per aerospace standards.


Minimum Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2 years of experience with electromechanical assembly
  • 2 years of experience in a production environment e.g. in aerospace automotive consumer electronics etc.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools torque tools calipers micrometers and basic measurement equipment


Preferred Skills and Experience


  • 5 years of demonstrated experience working on electromechanical assemblies for space applications
  • 2 years of experience with adhesives in a production environment
  • Cleanroom experience


Additional Information:

Compensation bands are determined by role level location and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills education experience technical capabilities and internal addition to base salary for full-time hires you may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options and access to medical vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
