Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with an additionalpresence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products. The Dealingroom is a very dynamic and hectic place to work with around 350 colleagues.

The Opportunity

FM Data Management is responsible for designing driving and implementing a strategy model and platform to ensure effective data management in Financial Markets. It is structured around primary and foundational capabilities. These capabilities ensure governance implementation definitions policies and processes quality organizational structure data architecture & delivery protection of personal data security and sustained awareness addressing FM managements requirements and targets.

The team

As the Lead FM Data Management you will use your knowledge of data management to develop and improve the data management capabilities for the global FM Data Domain and assist FM management with the implementation and embedding of the data management capabilities to ensure that FM data is managed according to standards.

FM Data Management is part of the CoE Regulatory within Financial Markets and is responsible for designing driving and implementing a strategy model and platform to ensure effective data management. It is structured around primary and foundational capabilities. We work closely with the FM Tribe FM front office and the WB Data Management and ING Group Data management organization.

The CoE is currently organized around 3 expertises:

1. Regulatory (Outlook advice including external advocacy and implementation)

2. Non-Financial Risk and Control

3. Data management

Your role

As the lead of FM Data Management you will be responsible for managing and developing the data management capabilities for the global FM Data Domain and on behalf of FM management ensure that FM data is managed according to standards.

  • Functionally manage a team of 2 Data Management experts
  • Represent FM data interests within WB and ING group
  • Manage and control data risk for global FM data landscape
  • Addressing complex DQ issues and regulatory findings through stakeholder management
  • Participating in strategic data quality initiatives
  • Building a culture of data craftmanship and quality improvement

Your key responsibilities

  • You are a good communicator fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong stakeholder management skills
  • You have a strong background in data management
  • You have a deep understanding of Financial Markets products and systems
  • You have excellent analytical skills and get energy from translating standards and policies into operating models and executable plans
  • You take responsibility to get the work done
  • You are able to handle multiple projects at the same time involving different stakeholders and focus on achieving results
  • You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes where needed to break through existing routines
  • You have a critical mind-set with respect to what is requested and delivered.
  • You are a hands-on type of person and have a structured way of working
  • You easily adapt to a new environment

As Lead FM Data Management you will also need:

  • At least 10-15 yearsof experience in Wholesale Banking and Financial Markets or Data Management
  • Experience inmanaging professionals and excellent people management skills
  • You have a good understanding of ING Data Management policies and control standards (ING DM PCS ING Data Protection (GPDP))
  • Project management experience
  • Actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends into applicable knowledge
