Job Summary

We are excited to be working with an Outstanding secondary academy in Solihull to recruit a committed Finance Assistant. This full-time permanent position starts immediately and is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a high-performing finance department. We are seeking a practitioner with a creative approach to problem-solving who can ensure the schools resources are managed with the highest potential for efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Process staff expenses and contribute to the development of outstanding payroll procedures

  • Maintain the schools asset register and support year-end audit preparations

  • Work alongside the School Business Manager to maintain high professional expectations

  • Use access to technology to enhance the efficiency of financial data entry

  • Support a dedicated focus on staff wellbeing within the administrative team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in financial administration or a junior accounting role

  • High standards of professional presentation and communication

  • Strong ICT skills and a proactive can-do attitude

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
