Job Summary
The role of Treasury Cashier for VIRTUS is ensure that the daily cash balances across all Group companies and bank accounts are closely monitored and reconciled. The role requires a high attention to detail accuracy and good communication to determine the cash requirements needed to cover payments pivotal to the successful day-to-day running of the VIRTUS Group.
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily bank postings and bank reconciliations across multiple Group companies banks and currencies. Allocating other receivables and payables to the correct ledger code. Investigate and resolve any reconciling items internally and externally with the banks.
Assist with the short-term cashflow forecasting for weekly and monthly forecasting cycles coordinating with AP AR and the Cost Management teams to identify and understand variances.
Adhere to month-end cut-off schedules for reconciliations of all cash-related accounts all month-end processes and all related journal entries.
Ensure all payment run instructions are signed off in accordance with the Group mandate accurately check for completeness and track and follow up on any failed or rejected payments.
Propose the necessary intercompany funding and transfers to facilitate the bi-monthly payment runs and prepare the associated intercompany journals.
Assistance in day-to-day management of the bank account bank relationships and KYC requirements. Including supporting bank account mandates and ensuring signatories are up-to-date.
Support treasury team with new bank account openings onboarding new banking platforms or restructuring bank groups.
Assist with the maintenance of treasury system data bank master data templates and controls.
Support automation initiatives including bank feed integrations journal automation or workflow improvements.
Assisting with preparation for year-end audit and interacting with auditors as required.
Any other reasonable requests made by your line manager.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Essential:
Educated to degree level.
Part ACA/ACCA and or ACT qualified or equivalent.
Experience:
Essential:
Strong practical knowledge of treasury processes and controls and interest in continuous process improvement/optimisation.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
1 -2 years of experience
Desirable:
Familiarity with SAP S-4-HANA accounting system advantageous and various banking platforms.
Familiarity with data centre sector or other technology/capital intensive businesses advantageous.
Knowledge:
Essential:
Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office in particular excel.
Skills:
Essential:
Well organised and high level of attention to detail.
Ability to contribute to and work well with the team.
Planning and organisation skills and able to prioritise to meet deadlines and cope with fluctuations in workload.
