Position Overview
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert supporting clinical engagement and education on innovative diagnostic technologies used to evaluate liver disease and metabolic disorders. This role will act as a key liaison between the organization and healthcare professionals academic institutions and key opinion leaders (KOLs) providing high-level scientific exchange and supporting clinical initiatives across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary scientific contact for external experts clinicians and healthcare organizations regarding the companys non-invasive diagnostic technology and its clinical applications in the U.S.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders in hepatology gastroenterology and metabolic disease.
Provide scientific and clinical support to commercial and marketing teams while maintaining medical independence and compliance with medical governance standards.
Deliver medical education clinical presentations and training to healthcare professionals institutions and conference audiences.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to identify and support clinical research initiatives investigator-initiated trials (IITs) and real-world evidence projects.
Monitor and analyze emerging clinical data guidelines and publications related to liver disease fibrosis MASLD and metabolic disorders.
Contribute to the development and review of medical materials scientific communications and educational resources.
Participate in advisory boards medical congresses and symposia as a scientific representative.
Ensure all interactions with healthcare professionals comply with regulatory ethical and company standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Advanced degree in life sciences required (MD PharmD PhD or equivalent). MD strongly preferred.
Minimum of 35 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or related field-based medical role within the pharmaceutical biotechnology or medical device industry.
Strong knowledge of hepatology gastroenterology liver disease or metabolic disorders preferred.
Demonstrated experience engaging with key opinion leaders and delivering high-quality scientific exchange.
Excellent presentation interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory and occasionally internationally (12 trips annually).
