Description
This contract on-site position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to our Ob/Gyn department in a thriving medical practice environment.
As a Laborist you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological care to patients. You will work alongside a team of experienced professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric care during labor and delivery
- Manage patients in the labor and delivery unit
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in patient education and counseling
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Respond to emergencies and manage complications
- Stay updated with current medical practices and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current state medical license in good standing
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Annual Volume: 1100 births total
Support Staff: Midwife on weekdays
Must be board-certified
