Job Summary
Description
As a Locum MD in Radiology you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. You will play a crucial role in interpreting medical images and contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays CT scans and MRIs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to discuss findings and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all imaging procedures
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with radiology advancements
- Assist in developing protocols to enhance imaging services
- Provide consultations to referring physicians regarding imaging results
- Manage patient workflow to optimize service delivery
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Florence
- Completion of a residency program in Radiology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
- Prior experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred
Schedule: Monday 7aMonday 7a every other week
Monthly Volumes: 100-125 stroke alerts 25 angiograms 8-15 interventions and 5-10 embolizations
Duties: Perform cases as needed respond to urgent/emergent callback cases answer consults round on patients clinic coverage etc.
Support Staff: APP working a 7 on/7 off schedule navigator and stroke coordinator
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
