INTERNSHIP - PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

At our office facilities in the heart of Copenhagen you will become part of an energetic office community of approximately 50 colleagues. You will join a dedicated Product Development Accessories team where collaboration creativity and attention to detail are key.

The internship runs for ten months from 2 September 2026 to 30 June 2027.

About the internship

At HAY Product Development Accessories we design and develop new products for the HAY accessories collection. You will join a team of six dedicated colleagues consisting of Senior and Junior Product Developers.

As an intern you will gain hands-on experience working on real-life development projects alongside experienced and passionate colleagues. You will contribute actively to ongoing projects while building a strong understanding of a professional product development process.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Creating graphic illustrations and concept presentations
• Preparing technical drawings specifications and descriptions
• Collaborate with the Packaging Team on illustrations pictograms and compliance requirements
• Analysing handling shipping and overviewing new product samples
• Develop and update Production Sheets per product including detailed production information photography tolerances and visual documentation
• Assist with material and color selections and construction detailing
• Ad hoc support across the development process

These tasks will provide you with solid insight into product development within an international design brand.

Experience required

• You are currently studying for a bachelors or masters degree within Design Product Development or a related field
• You have experience with Adobe Illustrator Photoshop InDesign and Rhino 3D
• You possess strong English communication skills both written and spoken
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is an advantage
