The Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Division requires a temporary 1.0 FTE Classroom Complexity Teacher for the remainder of 2025-2026 school year effective immediately until June 25 2026.

A Complexity Team Teacher provides targeted programming for students with high needs focusing on building literacy numeracy social-emotional skills and executive functioning.

Job Qualifications:

Working directly with the Vice Principal (VP) the employee will collaborate with classroom teachers to develop targeted strategies intended for small group programming for students in Gr.1-6.

The successful candidate will:

support classroom teachers in developing specialized teaching strategies including:

a) accommodating students with learning disabilities and differentiating curriculum for moderate to severe learning needs at a variety of grade levels in small group settings

b) provide targeted assistance to students with developmental delays and/or exceptionalities by implementing strategies in accordance with their Individual Program Plan.

c) use trauma-informed approaches to help students self-regulate and build tools for future resilience

support the Complexity Team of Educational Assistants in their roles and responsibilities.
work collaboratively as a team member with their administrator CST classroom teachers staff students and parents.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors of Education with a minimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching.
Specific knowledge and training in special education is preferred but not required
