The Reynoldsburg City Schools Robotics Assistant Coach supports the high school robotics program by assisting the lead Robotics Coach in mentoring students maintaining equipment and facilitating practices and competitions. The Assistant Coach helps foster student engagement in STEM learning teamwork and problem-solving while
promoting a safe and inclusive environment.


Minimum Qualifications:
Must meet Reynoldsburg City Schools district requirements for coaching staff.
Experience or interest in robotics engineering coding or related STEM fields.
Ability to work collaboratively with high school students staff and volunteers.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience assisting in robotics programs or STEM extracurricular activities.
Familiarity with FIRST Robotics VEX Robotics or similar competitive programs.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to support student growth creativity and critical thinking.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Robotics Assistant Coach Responsibilities:
Assist the lead Robotics Coach in planning and conducting team meetings practices and competitions.
Support students in the design construction and programming of robots.
Help maintain robotics equipment tools and materials in a safe and organized manner.
Mentor students in collaboration problem-solving and STEM skills aligned with Our Portrait of an
Educator.
Assist in communicating with parents staff and community partners regarding team progress.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all robotics activities.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of robotics systems programming and engineering principles (preferred).
Skilled in supporting mentoring and motivating high school students.
Ability to assist with organization planning and execution of robotics projects and competitions.
Strong collaboration communication and interpersonal skills.


Physical Demands & Working Conditions:


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate
with others. The employee is required to sit or stand and move around for extended periods of time. While
performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to push pull lift and carry over 25 pounds on occasion.


Working Conditions: The employee in this position may experience occasional exposure to blood bodily fluids
and tissue. The employee may also be required to interact with unruly children.


Driving Requirement: This position may require driving.
