Make a Difference Behind the Mission
The Project Manager will support major Facility Recapitalization infrastructure upgrades for Department of Veterans Affairs medical facilities. The Project Manager will oversee project planning coordination and execution to ensure construction activities meet scope schedule and budget requirements while maintaining compliance with healthcare facility standards.
What Youll Do
Project Oversight
- Manage planning execution and closeout of facility infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Coordinate project activities among contractors engineers and VA stakeholders.
- Monitor project schedules milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and control project budgets and funding strategies.
- Ensure effective scheduling and coordination among active healthcare environments.
- Resolve conflicts between competing project requirements.
- Prepare correspondence written reports and official project documentation.
- Conduct project meetings and brief leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records for project tracking and compliance.
- A strong communicator able to coordinate multiple project stakeholders.
- Experienced in healthcare construction environments.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Comfortable managing complex infrastructure upgrades within operational facilities.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Project Management or Construction Management.
- Additional 5 years of experience and PMP (or FAC-PPM) certification may substitute for degree requirement.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant project management experience.
- Experience in developing and controlling budgets and funding strategies.
- Experience in scheduling and coordination of project interactions among existing and newly occupied facilities.
- Ability to integrate competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes so that project requirements flow smoothly.
- Ability to obtain VA computer access including fingerprinting and background checks.
Work on mission-critical healthcare infrastructure supporting U.S. veterans.
Hands-on leadership in complex infrastructure projects that modernize critical healthcare facilities.
Collaborative work environment with VA leadership and construction teams.
