Group Financial Manager - Take Your Career to the Next Level
Duties & Responsibilities

As the Group Financial Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the groups finance function ensuring accurate reporting compliance and operational efficiency. You will provide strategic insights lead financial planning budgeting and consolidation and support decision-making across the business.
Lead the finance function by managing consolidation reporting budgeting and forecasting for the group.
Review and interpret management accounts providing actionable recommendations.
Prepare monthly management packs year-end packs and consolidated financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
Analyse operations identify opportunities for improvement cost reduction and system enhancements.
Implement and monitor internal controls and corporate governance policies.
Oversee general ledger reconciliations provisions and treasury functions.
Support automation projects and implementation of new systems (e.g. Power BI consolidation tools).
Partner with auditors and key stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of queries.
Provide financial insights and support strategic planning and ad-hoc requests from the CFO.
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12)
Chartered Accountant CA(SA) - mandatory
BCom degree in Accounting (Honours advantageous)
Experience:
Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in finance management group accounting or similar role
Strong knowledge of IFRS financial consolidations and accounting principles
Experience in preparing annual financial statements taxation (income and deferred tax) and corporate governance compliance
Knowledge of accounting for share-based payments hedging instruments (FECs) VAT and statutory reporting requirements
Proficient in MS Office and financial systems; experience with automation or consolidation tools advantageous
Skills and Competencies :
Strong technical financial skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Excellent problem-solving critical thinking and decision-making abilities
Effective time management and stress tolerance; able to work under pressure
Results-driven proactive and hands-on approach to getting things done
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
Dependable trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
Ability to integrate financial and operational strategies and work independently or in a team
