Senior Electrical Engineer Substation & Transmission Line

Context:

Our T&D team assists clients in achieving compliance and efficiency by conducting studies to navigate the design grid connection and access standards for their energy generation projects. You will become part of a global tight-knit team of engineers engaged in diverse projects supporting multiple type of international interconnection and grid connection projects (solar wind hydro etc.). Our team also provides technical assistance to Transmission Grid Operators and helps the private sector secure crucial grid investments through expert technical support. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career and play a pivotal role in expanding and shaping the business in South-East Asia for a multinational company while supporting clients across Asia but also Australia Europe and Africa.

Regular working days: Mon-Fri. 8 hours/day 5 days/week

Responsibility:

• Conduct studies for grid connection projects focused on HV substations and transmission lines (feasibility design stages) transmission and development plans & roadmaps transmission failure investigation etc. primarily in Indonesia South-East Asia but also in Europe Middle East Australia and Africa.
• Manage projects related to Grid connections assets (AIS/GIS HV substations HV transmission lines)
• Support the Business Development activities in Indonesia by supporting proposals preparation Clients meetings ..
• Perform analysis for generation grid connection studies including solar wind thermal and energy storage systems.
• Prepare comprehensive study reports ranging from connection feasibility studies for energy developers to detailed connection studies for utilities.
• Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed parameters formats and timelines and review the work of other employees when necessary.
• Conduct complex assessments provide specialist advice/solutions and training conduct technical presentations to internal and external clients.
• Engage in technical developmental activities including attending conferences and participating in industry presentations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor/Masters degree in electrical engineering.
• Having 10 years of relevant working experience as Electrical engineer in HV substations (AIS/GIS) and/or Transmission lines feasibility/design studies for transmission assets Site implementation technical support to national transmission utilities..
• Having good communication skills to support Business Development and Clients interactions
• Any additional experience on the following fields is beneficial: cable design protection coordination and relay settings studies earthing grid studies lightning protection ...
• Familiar with international codes and standards relevant to detailed electrical design for transmission and distribution assets such as IEC IEEE/ANSI NFPA standards.
• Familiar with local regulations and standards applicable to Indonesia for grid connection
• Demonstrated experience in substations projects (AIS/GIS) and/or Transmission lines projects in Indonesia. Any additional proven capabilities in electrical software tools such as Autocad ETAP etc. is beneficial.
• Experience working within a national T&D company and/or supporting similar projects within technical consultancy companies or experience working for a T&D Utility.
• Being a registered and certified engineer in Indonesia is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Having ability to manage works under time and resources constraints to finish works in time with good quality and having ability to work under pressure
• Having good logic of thinking problem solving and willingness working in team.
• Good level in English communication is mandatory.
• Bahasa Indonesian is mandatory
