The Role
As Teacher of Mathematics you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to contribute to A-Level Mathematics (and potentially Further Mathematics) depending on experience and departmental need. The curriculum is carefully designed to build deep conceptual understanding alongside fluency reasoning and problem-solving.
You will deliver lessons that:
Explain mathematical concepts clearly and precisely using modelling and worked examples
Build fluency through purposeful practice and regular retrieval
Develop reasoning through structured questioning and proof-style thinking
Stretch and challenge high-attaining students while supporting those who need extra scaffolding
Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations through exam technique and targeted practice
Students study a broad range of topics including algebra geometry trigonometry statistics and calculus (at A-Level) with a strong emphasis on depth of understanding and confident application.
You will contribute to shared planning assessment and extension opportunities such as enrichment sessions competitions and clubs.
