Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Italy (Milan and Bari)

Job Type: 12 month contract

Language Requirements: Fluent in Italian and English.

Role Overview:

Sperton Global is hiring two Oracle Database Administrators on behalf of our client. You will provide production support for mission-critical systems handle complex incidents manage RAC/Data Guard/GoldenGate environments and drive automation as a senior DBA and SME.

Principal Responsibilities:

• The job holder is responsible for production support to Oracle databases and work as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team

• Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes

• Investigate and provide solutions to database performance related issues

• Lead Database team in crisis calls participate in MIR and PIR calls also mentor team members

• Experience and expertise in maintaining complex High Availability Replication setups

• Provide consultancy for complex setups and Disaster Recovery

• Identify automation and Self Healing opportunities and develop automation to reduce manual efforts and standardize processes

• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts like RAC Dataguard Golden Gate

• Expertise in 12c 19c versions OEM

• Build and Deploy Implement Solutions Perform Capacity Planning and DR Planning

• Troubleshooting Performance Issues and providing solutions

• Expertise in designing Backup Recovery strategies

• Expertise in Role swap Failover planning and implementation

• Strong technical knowledge of database space management

• Implementing releases service requests

• Expertise of Golden Gate Replication

Skills:

Mandatory Skills:

• Oracle cloud services Oracle RAC ORACLE RMAN GoldenGate-DB Administration Oracle DB Administration Oracle Linux Administration

Additional Skill:

• Knowledge on Oracle Cloud

• Knowledge on UNIX based OS

• Knowledge of MongoDB Db2 LUW technology

• Knowledge of automation tool like Ansible Puppet Tanium

• Knowledge about Agile practices and DevOps tools

Eligibility Criteria

• Fluency in Italian (mandatory)

• Currently based in Italy with valid work permit /citizenship

• Proven experience working as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator in complex production environments
