Role Objective
Build and run a strong Finance & Accounts function for a fast-scaling subscription-led asset-
heavy business ensuring financial integrity tight receivables control robust compliance and
decision-grade MIS for leadership.
This is a hands-on leadership role not a passive oversight position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Control & Accounting
- Own books of accounts GL and month-end closures
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition for subscription models
- Manage deposit liabilities accruals provisions and reconciliations
2. Billing & Revenue Operations
- Oversee monthly billing cycles
- Ensure correct pricing discounts add-ons and reversals
- Build strong billing controls to prevent receivable leakage
3. Receivables & Credit Control
- Drive collections discipline and DPD reduction
- Set up escalation matrices deposit set-oƯs and shut-oƯ logic
- Own receivables MIS and portfolio hygiene
4. Compliance & Audit
- Own GST TDS income tax ROC and statutory audits
- Maintain a zero-slippage compliance calendar
- Act as primary interface with auditors and advisors
5. Asset & Fixed Asset Accounting
- Capitalisation and depreciation of AC assets
- Track asset lifecycle redeployment and residual values
- Reconcile installed base with asset registers
6. Credit Risk & Governance
- Support underwriting frameworks and approval matrices
- Provide portfolio risk insights to CEO
- Enforce internal controls and segregation of duties
7. MIS & Leadership Support
- Deliver monthly financial packs to CEO
- Build unit economics and cohort-level views
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 1012 years in finance & accounting
- Exposure to subscription leasing NBFC fin tech or asset-heavy models preferred
- Experience scaling finance teams in growth-stage companies
Skills & Traits
- Strong financial control mindset
- Extremely organized calm under pressure
- Polished communication with founders auditors and banks
- High integrity low ego hands-on attitude
Qualifications
- CA preferred (MBA Finance acceptable with strong exposure)
