The Video Editor is a creative role that blends foundational video editing skills with emerging AI-powered tools to support the creation of high-quality paid media content. Working under the guidance of senior editors this individual is responsible for everything from project setup and assembly cuts to managing versions preparing files for delivery and occasionally finishing smaller edits independently.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically curious eager to grow and excited about the future of AI in media production. The Video Editor actively learns and applies tools such as Runway Midjourney DALLE Google Imagen and Adobe Sensei to assist with content creation and workflow enhancement. As a developing post-production specialist this person supports both video and photo teams occasionally helping with retouching tasks and collaborating across disciplines to ensure efficient execution and elevated output.
Requirements
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro Final Cut Pro)
- Strong understanding of storytelling techniques and video production
- Basic knowledge of color grading and sound editing
- Excellent attention to detail and creativity
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to accept and implement constructive feedback
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is preferred
