This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking on-site engagement in a dynamic medical practice environment.
As a Locum NP Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our internal medicine department working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and ensure the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to manage patient care
- Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
- Educate patients and families about health management
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices in patient care
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee
- Experience in Internal Medicine or hospitalist settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical situations
Shifts: 7a-7p 3p-3a and 7p-7a
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
Nightly Volume: 15 admits 2-3 calls per hour
Duties: Evaluate and handle new admissions EKG reviews for possible STEMIs some critical care coverage etc.
No procedures required
Support Staff: Hospitalist MD on backup call APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
