. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity for healthcare professionals to provide vital support in a high-impact environment delivering exceptional patient care on-site.
As a Locum NP or PA you will play a crucial role in assisting our oncology department by evaluating patients conducting examinations and collaborating closely with physicians to develop effective treatment plans. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care making a meaningful difference in their healthcare journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations in the oncology setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and care
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in oncology practices
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in oncology or related medical field preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
No call required
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Skills Needed: Breast cancer center experience and chemotherapy prescribing
Will cover infusions and calls from your patients
No procedures
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
