As a Locum NP or PA you will play a crucial role in assisting our oncology department by evaluating patients conducting examinations and collaborating closely with physicians to develop effective treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations in the oncology setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and care
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on advancements in oncology practices
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience in oncology or related medical field preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
No call required
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Skills Needed: Breast cancer center experience and chemotherapy prescribing
Will cover infusions and calls from your patients
No procedures
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
