This role requires someone who is equally comfortable leading a busy dinner service as they are reviewing financial performance and supporting operational strategy. The AGM plays an active role in team development recruitment scheduling and coaching while maintaining sharp oversight of labour inventory and overall lead by example build strong relationships with guests and team members alike and create a culture where high standards accountability and genuine enjoyment of food wine and service come together.
The Day to Day:
- Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations including floor management scheduling and team leadership
- Actively lead daily restaurant operations with a strong floor presence during service
- Inspire and motivate your team by clearly communicating the restaurants vision and upholding Oliver & Bonacinis values
- Monitor and uphold all points of service and attention to detail in both guest experience and back-of-house operations
- Support and develop staff through training coaching and performance management initiatives
- Cultivate a warm professional guest-first culture
- Build strong relationships with guests team members vendors and senior leadership
- Oversee scheduling payroll accuracy budgeting inventory and invoicing with precision
- Ensure the venue is spotless well-maintained and operating at the highest standard
- Support marketing efforts and contribute to guest outreach and promotional strategies
- Actively participate in health & safety initiatives ensuring full compliance with WHMIS and company policies
- Contribute to the planning and execution of private events and special functions
- Other duties as required
Qualifications :
- 35 years of progressive leadership experience in a premium casual or upscale dining environment
- Valid Smart Serve Certification
- Strong understanding of service standards wine knowledge and restaurant operations
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team with professionalism and positivity
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills
- A passion for hospitality attention to detail and creating memorable guest experiences
- Flexibility to work late night evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
