Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of essential building products. Operating across 17 sites in the UK they provide high-quality products that support both traditional and modern construction methods ensuring the continued growth of the UK construction industry.
Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at a state-of-the-art automated site youll be responsible for maintaining high-speed machinery in a fast-paced environment. Working within a large team on a 4 on 4 off shift (days & nights) youll carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance of automated equipment
- Fault-finding on Siemens S7 PLC systems and control panels
- Supporting efficient production through timely maintenance and issue resolution
- Working with conveyors mixers ovens and kilns
- Contributing to continuous improvement at Europes fastest-producing site
The ideal candidate will have:
- Mechanical qualifications with strong electrical skills
- Experience in FMCG or heavy industrial environments
- Confident in fault-finding on Siemens PLCs and control panels
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-output automated environment
Desirable Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Siemens S7
- Knowledge of large-scale automated machinery
- Previous work in dusty or challenging production settings
- Adaptability to work within a large collaborative engineering team
