Position Summary

The Document Control Specialist is responsible for the input and quality of Sargents drawings documents and records in accordance with Sargents Quality Management System documentation and/or customer requirements. This position will also perform administrative duties as assigned to support daily operations.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sort organize and count printed documentation for data entry into Sargent computer systems.
  • Read drawings work orders procedures and reports for data entry into Sargent computer systems.
  • Prepare and scan drawings and documents for uploading into OnBase.
  • Complete audits of work completed within the department.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to ensure that commitments to both internal and external customers are met by following up on requests.
  • Able to communicate issues clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to function in a team environment by establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and co-workers.
  • Position requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured cooperative attitude.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Position requires attention to detail - being careful about details and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Will work independently to compose routine correspondence memoranda forms agendas meeting notes notices and reports as well as type and word process from rough draft verbal instructions or compile information for reports.
  • Will work independently to manage office supplies stock levels and ordering.
  • Must be willing and able to work extra time as required to ensure completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and manage directed changes and associated claims.
  • Manage conference room calendars and resolve conflicts.
  • Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the position.
  • Lift and move 50lb boxes with assistance.

JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma (GED) plus two years of related experience in a clerical position; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable work knowledge and abilities have been acquired.
  • MS Office proficiency including basic office equipment (printer scanner copier etc.).
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and etiquette. Working knowledge of English usage grammar punctuation and formatting business documents. Ability to exercise good judgement and initiative within scope of responsibilities.
  • Moderately complex typing and word processing skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functionsof this role.

PREFERRED JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with Engineering Manufacturing and/or Quality documents
  • Experience with data entry and/or ERP/MRP/PLM systems
