How youll contribute
A Security Officerwho excels in this role will:
- Observes and reports activities and incidents for all Raleigh General Hospital properties.
- Providing security and safety property and personnel at Raleigh General Hospital.
- Makes periodic tours and documents checking for irregularities perform fire watch when required.
- Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel patients visitors and premises.
Frequent valuables collection & returns of patients person property. This is a high liability process.
- Monitoring ED Lobby from the Security Desk monitoring Main Lobby from the Volunteer Desk
Schedule: Full-Time Rotating

What were looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of directly related experience may be substituted for the required education.
- Certifications: NCI within 30 days of hire/transfer
- Previous computer experience required including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or registration systems.
- Strong critical thinking skills decisive judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients families and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital procedures; billing or collections experience strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented organized and able to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
