Physician Assistant Urgent Care

As aPhysician Assistant (PA) you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. Youll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats colds flu-like symptoms cuts sprains and minor infections. Youll work independently or alongside a physician using your clinical expertise to assess diagnose and treat patients while recognizing when to escalate care to emergency services.
Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications
Perform minor procedures including suturing splinting and casting
Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR
Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention
Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed
Work scheduled shifts of 4 8 or 12 hours as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Minimum1 year of full-time experienceas a licensed NP or PA in anUrgent Care or Emergency Medicinesetting (required)
Experience treatingboth pediatric and adultpatient populations (required)
Comfortable performingminor proceduresincluding suturing casting and splinting (required)
Proficient inpreliminary readsof EKGs and X-rays (required)
Physician Assistants:
Masters degree from an accredited PA program (required)
NCCPA Certification(required)
Proficiency in urgent care procedures (e.g. suturing splinting)
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attentive listening and patient engagement
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Multilingual communication skills
Familiarity with telemedicine platforms
Basic understanding of medical billing and coding
