About the Role
The Senior Specialist - Client Events US is an integral part of Lathams Events Sponsorship and Travel team. This role will be responsible for executing a high volume of hospitality events for the New York market as well as supporting team members on larger event initiatives within the US while working with key stakeholders to define event objectives and thoughtfully design events accordingly and post-event measuring success against outlined objectives and providing recommendations to extend the life-cycle of the event and capturing additional return on investment. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Pro-actively coordinating various aspects of the event lifecycle including planning meetings checklists budgets expense processing vendor management onsite and virtual platform management data management post-event analysis
- Curating targeted invitations lists for each event working closely with stakeholders and e-marketing team
- Drafting event communications and collateral that align with Latham branding
- Developing and controlling budgets for each event; identifying negotiating and achieving cost savings with venues and vendors
- Continuously staying abreast of event best practices as well as market and industry trends
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive confidential privileged financial and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a customerservice focus
And have:
- A Bachelors degree
- A minimum of three (5) years of experience in event management
- Experience using event management and CRM systems
- Superior organizational skills to manage multiple events at one time
