Job Summary

Speech Language Pathologistat Ogden School District

SLPs work with the full range of human communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.

Job duties may include:

Evaluate and diagnose speech language communication and swallowing disorders.
Communicate with students to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty.
Determine the extent of communication problems by having the student complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests.
Identify treatment options.
Create and carry out individualized treatment plans.
Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
Other duties as assigned by administrator.

Requirements:

Candidate must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist or enrolled in a program for licensure with the Utah State Board of Education.
Professional Educators license or approved for USBEs Associate Educator License (AEL) in Special Education/SLP with the Utah State Board of Education.
