Speech Language Pathologistat Ogden School District
SLPs work with the full range of human communication and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.
Job duties may include:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech language communication and swallowing disorders.
- Communicate with students to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty.
- Determine the extent of communication problems by having the student complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests.
- Identify treatment options.
- Create and carry out individualized treatment plans.
- Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
- Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
- Other duties as assigned by administrator.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist or enrolled in a program for licensure with the Utah State Board of Education.
- Professional Educators license or approved for USBEs Associate Educator License (AEL) in Special Education/SLP with the Utah State Board of Education.
