About the Position
This is a .8 FTE non-continuing leave replacement position for an Occupational Therapist that begins as soon as hired through June 10 2026 ONLY.

Edmonds School District Occupational Therapists provide occupational therapy services for children ages 3 through 21 with identified physical disabilities motor deficits movement dysfunctions and/or developmental delays that interfere with learning in the education environment. As a member of the multidisciplinary educational/assessment team Occupational Therapists:

perform program planning for occupational therapy or appropriate options for each individualized education program (IEP);
provide treatment and management of the disability based upon results of evaluation which may include direct and/or indirect therapy services;
offer consultation and education on formal and informal levels with medical and educational professionals paraprofessionals and parents regarding educational programming and disability information;
administer occupational therapy services within the educational environment (documentation record-keeping equipment space requirements supervision of classroom and Occupational Therapy Assistants);
are responsible for monitoring the proper fit use and adjustment of specialized equipment; and
conduct research and evaluation for school occupational therapy services.

Required Qualifications:
Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as an Occupational Therapist.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Washington State Occupational Therapist license.

Salary:
2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83305 through $ on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Eligibility for health insurance is based on whether the employee is anticipated to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). For the 2025-26school year a .5 FTE continuing contract position will meet that eligibility threshold. Eligibility for a non-continuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the non-continuing contract. Benefitsinclude Medical Dental Vision Long-term Disability Life and ADD Insurance and options for HSA FSA and DCAP.
Eligibility for retirement is based on whether the employee is anticipated to work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. For the 2025-26school year a .6 FTE (either continuing or non-continuing) meets that eligibility threshold.

The position may require moving objects regularly weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Visual requirements include performing close-range tasks and adjusting focus as necessary.
