Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Firmware Engineering Intern to join our team based in Cork. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in embedded systems and firmware development with foundational handson experience in lowlevel programming or DevOps practices. This internship offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers on realworld firmware for innovative storage technologies.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design development and maintenance of embedded firmware for NetApp products
Work with hardware and software teams to supportfirmware integration and bringup activities
Participate indebugging and troubleshooting of firmware and embedded systems under guidance
Contribute to creating and executingUnit Tests and Functional Tests for firmware code
Learn and actively supportDevOps and CI/CD pipelines used in the firmware development lifecycle
Participate incode and design reviews to learn firmware best practices and receive feedback
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline
Handson experience or coursework in C/C (Python as a secondary language)
Strong interest in embedded systems firmware or lowlevel software development
Basic understanding ofdebugging tools and techniques (e.g. logs debuggers hardware interaction)
Exposure to or interest inDevOps concepts CI/CD pipelines or automated testing
Willingness to work in anAgile/Scrum environment
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to collaborate within an engineering team
Your profile
Background in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or related fields such as Mathematics or Physics
Open tograduates seeking a 68 month internship after graduation
Must be based in Cork for the duration of the internship
Must have unrestricted right to work in Ireland for the full internship period (no sponsorship available)
